Geniscall - every cloud has a silver lining (for some at least). That concert was cancelled and the following day instead of going to Belfast he was in Dublin in Bewleys and I met him and got his autograph so if Hyde park gets cancelled you know where to go on Saturday.

90 hours to go .

ick - bloody MCD

dunno if anyone's been at Marly before.I saw Radiohead there last year and I thought it was a terrible venue.the sound was pretty good but me being a shortarse I couldn't see a thing.not even the big screens.

so are we going to have a Dublin meetup? i'm heading all on my own :(

The schedule Kevycanavan outlines above seems about right to me. Given that it's billed as a double-headliner gig, and not a PG gig, both PG and CH will have to get the same stage time. Assuming there's a curfew around 11:00pm, those timings seem about right.

I knew a few people who were at the Morrissey gig in Marlay Park last year, and they've all said that they thought is a well-serviced site re. food and toilets. That being the case, there doesn't seem any reason to assume that it won't be the same this year.

Having been up to the gig site at the weekend, I'd say the biggest concern is rain. It's a very open site, and if it's stormy at all we're all - stage included - going to get a bit of a hammering.

It was about 8:30pm on Sunday when I was there, and the evening was dull and dry, but it was noticably chilly even that early in the evening. Might be worth bearing in mind for Friday.

Going by other shows I've seen in Marley Park there will be those portable toilet things and plenty of refreshments, food, drinks etc.

On the timing, this is guessing but I'd say Peter Gabriel will be on stage at or before 9. Sometimes they issue stage times a day or so before the show, but not always.

I like Marley Park. I think for an outdoor venue it's pretty ok though I much prefer indoors anyway. I sympathise with not being able to see though. I'm just over five foot so have the same problem.

Will it rain? Probably! The forecast is not good, but they are often wrong. Hopefully it won't be too heavy.
